The definition of non-partisan political information has undergone quite a bit of change from the mid 1950s. There used to be a working press that would present news and information so that people would be informed about the issues of the day. That is not the case, today. Both sides of each and every issue present the message they want you to know and the media chooses which side they want to report on.

Truly non partisan messages would simply state facts about the number of uninsured and or the fact that the Unites States has the best health care in the world already. Instead we get emotional talking points about how horrible it is that most people are satisfied with their insurance now. This is partisan data that seeks to change peoples minds to believe something that is not true for them.
These followers of the media will hear emotions rather than facts which is a extremely good indication this is as partisan as most political information is. The same holds true for gun control. If you own a gun, in America today, the press, the President and the majority party in the Senate will tell everyone that there is one too many dangerous guns on the streets. This scares people beyond anything that is reasonable.
When debates are announced, people want to believe they can find some non partisan comments. They are disappointed in this belief. The participants will not impart anything that does fit in with the focus they have. That focus is not to upset their opponent because that would make them seem mean or not a team player.
