March 8, 2014 - A seemingly ordinary day when 239 people boarded a Malaysian plane bound for Beijing, China. The six hour flight from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia carried 227 passengers (two of which were infants) and 12 crew members from different countries. The seemingly ordinary turned into a day of horror as the Malaysian aircraft seemed to disappear without a trace. Search parties have been deployed and after more than a week, there are still no leads as to what happened to Malaysian Airlines Flight 370.

There are many theories that came up with the disappearance of Malaysian Airlines Flight 370. It was hours after the flight has been missing before Malaysia announced the disappearance of the plane. Since there was no distress signal to warn proper authorities, nobody assumed that something went wrong. In fact it came as a surprise that Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 just vanished into thin air. Did they crash somewhere in the ocean? Were they hijacked? Did the pilots have anything to do with this? Was it an alien invasion?

With all the news circulating about the disappearance of Malaysian Airlines Flight 370, there are many conclusions as to what happened to the aircraft. Some are more rational and supported by actual reliable data. Some reports are more doubtful conclusions that the rational mind would automatically reject. But either way, the reports are all just speculative as to what could have happened to them. The more rational reports speculated on the plane either crashing or being hijacked. With some news that debris and oil was found, everybody feared the worse. But no plane turned out in spite of the intensive search mission. Another speculation was that the plane was hijacked. Some say that it was the two Iranian men with stolen passports while some presume that it is the pilot who had installed a flight simulator in his home.

In separate reports, there was also talk that Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 is somehow connected to the Bermuda Triangle mystery. Other reports also claim that it was aliens that abducted the passengers and all its crew members. Our rational thoughts would reject these ideas of course but somehow, in this great mystery, some might start to believe that maybe there is a grain of truth in it. How could a plane just disappear like that without a trace? There are a lot of technologies available now, somehow, something has to come up already unless there is a bigger mystery that cannot be answered by whatever technology is available. These implications are what these reports are driving at. Fueled by both fear and hope that somehow the passengers are still alive, some may be inclined to believe such fantasies.

The wait for many is still dragging on as Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 still remains to be missing. The mystery behind its disappearance still unanswered. With this, it is easy to believe so many different things just to appease the growing unease of the public. What is taking so low for the proper authorities to find the aircraft? Aren't we living in an advanced world where technology could have picked up signals from the aircraft? While the world is growing impatient, speculations are all that can be offered. The important thing now is not to jump into conclusions and just wait for more concrete answers. Until then, all we can do is hope and pray for the passengers and their loved ones.

"Top Secret America" was the title of the report based on a two-year investigation conducted by The Washington Post. It talks about a secret world created after the September 11, 2001 terrorist assault on the nation. It claims that a "hidden world growing beyond control" was in place. This secretive world evaded public view and speculation for nine years in order to keep the United States safe. It has since become so massive that it is impossible to determine how many people are part of it, how much it costs, and how many agencies have the same function. Whether or not it is truly effective remains immeasurable.

Findings in the report indicated some 1,271 government organizations and 1,931 private companies involved in counter terrorism programs, homeland security and intelligence. As many as 845,000 people have access to top-secret security clearances. Washington has 33 building complexes that have been built since 2001. Its combined area is equivalent to three Pentagons, which is approximately 17 million square feet. Numerous intelligence and security divisions conduct the same operations which leads to waste and redundancy. Conversations and documents are analyzed in reports. Their yearly volume adds up to a total 50,000. Since this number is so large, many of the reports are routinely ignored.

It seems as if the Post has enough to expose the government's abuse. Then again, in Joel Skousen's World Affairs Brief on July 23, 2010 he declares that tantalizing information sold papers but did not have enough clout to expose the illicit side of the government's operations. He claims that these covert activities were more directed at patriotic citizens than the real enemies. What the government is truly concerned about is that Americans might rebel against the growing totalitarian state in the future.

Upon reading the publication, the Post seems to be heroic in its endeavors to expose the government's duplicity. This is vehemently contested by Joel Skousen in his July 23, 2010, World Affairs Brief. He claims that the Post provided enough information to intrigue the people, for the paper to sell in great numbers, but not quite specific to cause legitimate action against these operations. The focus should have been in recruiting, training, and running covert agents who are targeting patriotic American and allies - not the real enemies. According to Skousen, this is done by the government on purpose as a precaution for someday these entities might be a potential source of rebellion in opposition to a growing totalitarian state. Skousen criticizes the Post since it did not specifically mention that a third of these operations are directed at Americans and other Western governments which need to be monitored and controlled, so as not to defy the objectives of the New World Order. He further elaborates that significant amounts of the budget are allocated for spying activities on State Officials. They collect information that might be used in the future, to coerce these people to comply when necessary.

The New World Order is what should have been exposed in the report says Skousen. The Post should have made the connections between certain companies and mercenary contractors who support the agendas of the government to which he compares the Nazis. People will be forced into compliance to do the government's bidding. Eventually, these will be used to threaten liberties in the country.
